Following last nights rain and snow melt, levels on the Ea Beck at South Elmsall have peaked and are now dropping, Areas most at risk include South Elmsall including Lower Northcroft and Minsthorpe Vale. Flooding remains possible. Wintry showers cleared the areas morning, Monday 6th January. after which it will be mainly dry and cold for the next few days. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
